-The 4246 comes with an adjustable, tilted and upholstered backrest. Horizontal and vertical tailor the stool to an ergonomic fit.
-Stool height adjusts via a lever located under the seat. To raise stool, ease weight off and a pneumatic assist will raise the seat. Lift up ring, and the stool gently descends to the desired height.
-All 4200 stools have five legs to distribute weight evenly and ensure stability. The circumference of the base exceeds that of the seat to maintain stability in the sit-stand position.
-Backrest and seat are constructed of 2 inch thick polyfoam.
This was a good chair to buy. The quality is there. You can definitely tell the difference between this Reichert chair and the 'off-brands' you can find on other sites. It was worth the extra cost to get a stool that works smoothly and properly and will last.

Finally found a chair that fits my needs to a tee. Although not used as it originally was meant to be used for, it was exactly what I needed. It fits in my space and is so very comfortable. My legs and back are in their correct position and they don't hurt any more. And the price was so good. Thank you.
